Larisa Iordache (ROU)

She is only 18 years old but has already won 1 Olympic, 3 World and 11 European medals including 5 titles! The little Romanian gymnast is the big favorite for these European Championships.

What made you start gymnastics?

I started gymnastics at 5 years old. It was just a game for me at first!

What is a typical day like?

A typical day begins with morning meal and school. I have two workouts on the morning and two on the evening. Then I take time for recovery and for my homework.

What is your gymnastics’ best memory?

The most memorable moment of my career in gymnastics was last year during the 2014 World Championships when I took the silver medal in the individual all-around final.

You are good at beam, floor, vault and all-around… What is you main goal for these European Championships?

First I want to be healthy and to get to European Championships in top form to make a good impression.

Which gymnast you trained with, has more inspired you?

I appreciated all gymnasts I trained with. I think I learned something from each of them.
