What made you start Gymnastics?

When I was 5 years old my Father had wanted me to follow him into kickboxing but I was too young. So I started doing Gymnastics!

What is a typical day like?

I have training from Monday to Saturday: two days in my club and the four others in the National Center. It is located 1h30 driving from home so when I train there I live there.

What is your Gymnastics’ best memory?

The silver medal I won in Birmingham World Championships (2009) in all-around and the two European titles I won on pommel horse.

Your best event is pommel horse but you are also good in the all-around. What is your main goal for this European Championships ?

I am definitely focused on pommel horse.

Thomas-BouhailThomas Bouhail about Daniel: « I am admiring that he came back to compete after he was not selected for the London Games. To me he really had the level to be part of the team. It is great that he has still that motivation in order to compete in Rio. »
